About the opportunity
The Centro Austral de Investigaciones Científicas (CADIC-CONICET) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a background in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Oceanography, Physics or related fields to work on ecological interactions and ecosystem resilience in subantarctic marine environments.
The project, titled “Non-trophic interactions and resilience to multiple anthropogenic and climatic stressors in subantarctic marine ecosystems,” will investigate how interactions such as facilitation, competition and refuge provision can influence ecosystem stability and resilience.
The research will focus on the Burdwood Bank and Beagle Channel and will integrate non-trophic interaction networks with existing food-web models. The project will use ecological network analysis, dynamic modelling and complex systems approaches to study how marine ecosystems respond to multiple environmental stressors.
The research is part of the CONICET priority topic 2.12.2: Anthropogenic impacts and climate change on marine ecosystems.

Who can apply?
