WWF Chile is looking for a Conservation Communications Assistant to support the organization’s conservation work through communication strategies, content development and digital products.
The position will work under the supervision of the Conservation Communications Coordinator and will serve as a link between WWF’s Policy, Communications & Brand and Conservation Management teams.
About the role
The successful candidate will support communication needs related to WWF’s conservation strategies and projects, helping translate environmental work into content and communication products for different audiences.
The role combines environmental communication, science communication, digital content and conservation.
Main responsibilities
The position will:
- Respond to local, national and regional communication needs of conservation teams.
- Contribute to communication strategies for conservation projects and initiatives.
- Develop content and communication products to disseminate conservation strategies and projects.
- Ensure that WWF branding and communication guidelines are correctly applied.
- Participate in meetings, field trips and activities with conservation teams.
- Develop web and digital content related to conservation work.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support WWF activities as required.
Who can apply?
Applicants should have:
- A university degree, preferably in communications-related fields such as journalism, public relations, advertising or design.
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles.
Required knowledge and skills
The position requires:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- English proficiency is desirable.
- Experience developing communication strategies for campaigns, projects or initiatives.
- Knowledge of science and environmental communication.
- Experience with audiovisual tools, digital marketing and graphic design.
